Last year we had a "library lesson" on creating a blog with Melissa, one of our wonderful librarians at HHS. The problem was that we couldn't get back into the site the next day, as LISD techs blocked us. They consider much of the 23 Things fun and entertainment, not work. Our librarians have offered many lessons to staff for technology that pertains to the classroom, but I'm not sure about being able to connect to many of these sites when we are on our LISD work computers. It will be interesting to try when we go back next week.
I don't know if all four of our library staff will get through this course. If we can get to the sites, it would be great to go over this information if we could find time. Offering sessions on some things like flickr, image generators, delicious, and podcasts may be really useful for our staff. Some may be helpful with their class lessons and some may bring a little fun to their lives. Also, it would give internet shy people a chance to look around. I'm not sure that we could offer all 23Things even if we could get to the sites, as it would be quite lengthy and teachers have other ideas about what they want to do during their planning time. ; )
